My gardens are lush and growing like crazy this year, but so are the weeds, so here is my favorite inexpensive weed killer to add to your arsenal of garden defenses….
Just plain, white vinegar. It’s super inexpensive and you don’t need to worry about any crazy pesticide residue lingering around your flowers and veggies. It’s also organic so that’s another plus in my book.
And this is 24 hours later. Truth be told, it was dead within two hours but I was occupied elsewhere and without a camera. All you need to do is literally point and spray. I try and do it on a rain free day so the vinegar isn’t washed off of the greens (sounds like I’m making a salad right? ).
I warn you this won’t work on everything (purslane seems impervious!), but you can always use my boiling water method too. Nothing survives that! I’m always a fan of skipping roundup. Nasty stuff.
Get out there this weekend and garden! There’s nothing like getting your hand into the dirt!
